Sleep well

I move very often around with my notebook, so hibernation is a must for me.
After switching to a MacBook, I found that out of the box there’s apparently not support for hibernation, but only for standby (a.k.a stop or suspend to ram if I recall correctly).

After a bit of googling, I found out that support does in fact exist, but it seems to be hidden from the user interface.

I found a very easy to setup dashboard widget which allows to use hibernation, called Deep Sleep; simply double click on the moon to hibernate and power down your mac.

Read carefully the documentation to find out if your Mac is supported before trying it.

    Dear Wonderful Blogger,

did you happen to go into deep sleep toghether with you mac?

Please restore and restart publishing into the blog.

Otherwise, if you are sleeping well, just keep doing that and dream of tablet macs, boomboxes and iphones.
